Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moment

Santa Fe, Farmer’s Market

My friend, let’s not think of tomorrow,
but let’s enjoy this fleeting moment of life.

~Omar Khayyam~

Paris, 1990

We are only beginning to learn what to
say in a photograph.  The world is a
succession of fleeting moments, any
one of which might say
something significant.

~Albert Einstein~

St. Remy, France, 2011

The creative act lasts but a brief moment,
a lightening instant of give-and-take, just
long enough for you to level the camera
and to trap the fleeting prey
in your little box.

~Henri Cartier-Bresson~

Paris, 2011

To photograph is to hold one’s breath,
when all faculties converge to capture
fleeting reality.  It’s as that precise
moment that mastering an image
becomes a great physical
and intellectual joy.

~Henri Cartier-Bresson~

Paris, 2011

A moment in time
Captured in our heart and mind
Memory so dear

Santa Fe, NM, 2010

A fleeting moment
Can live with us forever
A fond memory

Galisteo, NM, 2012

I didn’t have time to capture new images for this week’s photo challenge so I went into my photo library, which was a lovely experience of remembering many beautiful, fleeting moments of my life.  And, the topic inspired me to write haiku.   I am grateful for the creative people who work so diligently at Word Press.
