The world would be a much better place if  everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.

I have found that when you are deeply troubled,
there are things you get from the silent, devoted
companionship of a dog that you can get
from no other source.

Why they are called "Bouncing Beardies"

Why they are called “Bouncing Beardies”

Galen and I went to the Westminster Dog Show yesterday here in NYC.  Of course, we searched out the Beardie and Havanese Breeders.  I talked to Bella Blue’s breeder, Dot, of Ha’Penny Kennels (http://www.hapennybeardies.com) and found out that Bella’s mother, Miss Blue, is still alive and thriving.  I also saw a beautiful Beardie from Classical Kennels (http://www.worldofclassical.com in Ontario, Canada where Murphy, our first Bearded Collie, came from almost 20 years ago. Interestingly, Bea and Kevin are now breeding Havanese as well.

However, after seeing all the amazing dogs at the show, we still think our girls, Raggedy, Beddy, Bella Blue and Hannah are the BEST!!!
