What greater blessing to give thanks for
at a family gathering than the family
and the gathering.
Invent your world. Surround yourself
with people, color, sounds and
work that nourishes you.
Perhaps the greatest gift an animal
has to offer is a permanent reminder
of who we really are.
I’m in Wisconsin for a reunion. My cousin Tim is visiting from Costa Rica where he lives. I have not seen him for almost 50 years, and here we are, Tim (on the right), my brother Tom, sister-in-law Monica, sister Betsy, and me, sharing memories – an extraordinary occasion. The George tribe is a big one (8 children in my Mother’s family) and I am blessed to be part of this large, fun-loving, warm and wonderful extended family. Surrounded by people who nourish me . . . Life is good!
